Is Horse Teaching Really As Hard As I Hear?

Horse teaching is one of the fastest growing equestrian careers for many reasons. First of all, training a horse is virtually impossible for anyone new at it. They may think you can train a horse like a dog, but you can’t. A horse is much smarter, much larger, and less trusting. They may think you can train a horse like a child, but you can’t. A horse is much smarter, much larger, and less trusting! Teaching a horse to do what you want is virtually impossible, right?

So, people pay thousands of dollars to teach their horse to behave. They expect, by laying down a lot of cash, that someone else will come in and turn their unruly animal into a trusted friend. In reality, though, they are wasting their money. Horse teaching cannot be done by a stranger – it must be done by the rider, the owner, and the friend of the horse.
