Having pain is your body’s way of informing you that something is wrong. For a lot of people, they say “no pain, no gain” and pain is a sign that they have done something to the point of deterioration and the body will let you know this. The vast majority of of pain is certainly not productive. If you’re struggling with arthritis you’re going to have pain in the joints and this will keep you from doing the things that you want to. It is important to have pain management so that you can cope with the arthritis and live from day to day with very little frustration.

Just like a red flashing light, your pain in the body is going to signal you will want to stop what you are doing and take action about your body’s health. Pain is very natural and it doesn’t have to be hard for you. There are a number of things that could cause arthritic pain. Pain can be due to inflammation in the joints. This type of pain is usually accompanied by redness and swelling in younger patients or anyone that just develops a disorder. A second cause is harm to the joint tissue. We typically feel that we have pulled a muscle when this type of pain is occurring and it may be a condition due to stress on a joint or another issue.

Pain can happen from fatigue. You may merely have a little bit of lingering pain; being tired can make you have this more. Think of it in terms of a headache at the end of the day when you are tired. Joint pain works in much the same way. Depression and stress can cause pain or make your pain more serious than it really is. This is a terrible cycle to start. You can get depressed if you have pain and this will cause you to become more depressed which will cause you to feel a whole lot worse.

Arthritic pain in people is likely to feel a lot different than other types of pain. It is vital to have a pain management system. This will also include eating healthy and exercising better to help the condition. Taking medication can even help. You could also use massage to help you with your discomfort. Stay hopeful about your outlook for life and accept the battle of pain when it comes. Arthritis will probably be tough however, you can prevail over it allowing you to have a normal life.

There are several things you can do to prevent or minimize an arthritis flare up. It is important to do your part. It is equally as important to check back with your doctor for advice as well. Don’t be afraid to ask for help and check with your local Arthritis Foundation to see what resources are available to you.

Cushing’s disease occurs in various animals (e.g. dogs, horses, people), although the symptoms in horses are different than the symptoms in other animals (e.g. in dogs it results in hair loss whereas in horses it results in greater hair growth). When the disease occurs in horses, it is known as Equine Cushings Disease (or ECD).

ECD is the result of excessive steroid production by the adrenal glands. This is caused by the pituitary gland producing too much hormones and thus over-stimulating the adrenals, which is usually the result of either tumor growth on the pituitary or age-related growth of the pituitary gland itself. Both changes of the pituitary are age-related, so ECD is most common in older horses (over 15 years) but has been found in horses as young as seven.

The nature and cause of the disease itself was first explained by Harvey Cushing, an American brain surgeon, in’21. Consequently, the disease is named after him.

The symptoms of cushings disease vary somewhat from horse to horse, with the more common symptoms including: – Changes to the coat. It may become longer and curly. It may not be shed in Spring. In some cases the color becomes lighter. – Increased sweating. This is often due to the coat become longer and thicker, and retention of the winter coat into summer. – Weight loss despite increased appetite and food consumption. Changes to the body shape, with loss of muscle in back and neck, and development of pendulous abdomen. – General depression, loss of coat shine, horse looks ill. – Development of diabetes and a resulting increase in water consumption. This can be difficult to detect with pastured horses, but with stabled horses one may notice an abnormal amount of urine (or soiled bedding) in its box. – Development of laminitis. The most common cause of normal laminitis is carbohydrate overload due to eating spring grass, whereas ECD-caused laminitis is more frequent in autumn and winter since ECD is worse when the days are shorter (this is because the pineal gland is light-sensitive and as daylight decreases it stimulates the pituitary gland). – Immune system declines, leaving the horse more prone to infections and slower to heal from external injuries. – The depressions above the eyes fill in. These depressions are most evident when a horse is chewing, but gradually fill in with fat in ECD horses.

Any of these symptoms can be caused by a variety of illnesses other than ECD. Consequently, blood and urine tests are normally used to confirm that the cause is ECD (e.g. by measuring hormone levels and hormone response levels) and to rule out other possible diseases. Studies have shown that many horses with ECD are either not diagnosed or incorrectly diagnosed (the symptoms are incorrectly attributed to a different disease), with the result that they do not receive appropriate treatment.

Unfortunately it is not possible to cure ECD. However, one can slow the disease by the use of medication to reduce hormone production to normal levels. Note that some of these medications have strong side effects, so appropriate testing and control is required to prevent secondary illnesses (e.g. liver disease).

Since ECD and produce other illnesses, such as diabetes and laminitis, one needs to watch for symptoms of these related problems and treat promptly before they become serious.

One should also maintain the horse’s quality of life by treating any symptoms which make it uncomfortable. For example, if the heavier coat results in the horse becoming too warm, one should clip the coat in spring or summer.

The bacteria Streptococcus equi is responsible for this horse disease. This disease being a infectious horse disease spread like a fire with in a few days. Usually these bacteria come in contact with water tube, utensil, bedding and others and contaminate them. They generally settle in the lymph node or the tonsil area entering from the backside of the throat. And slowly they graduate to the head and neck region from the lymph node causing swelling and some characteristic disease. Recovery is very much possible and after recovery life long immunity can also develop.

Nasal discharge is one of the most important symptoms of this horse disease; this discharge starts as watery solutions and steadily turns to mucous. Enlargement of the lymph node under the lower jaw can also be seen. Head carriage tends to be stiffer, difficulty in swallowing food, and occasional coughs are also noticed. This horse disease can further result in pleuritis, aspiration pneumonia, and can even damage the brain.

The treatment should include regular cleaning up of nostrils, padding the swellings with hot water, and providing soft food that can be swallowed easily. Since, the organism is easily transmitable so proper and strict hygiene measures should be taken. You can treat this horse disease by potassium penicillin and fluid. In strict cases, if the disease spreads to lungs or abdomen or lungs, antibiotics should be used.

No new horses should be introduced in the herd or the area where this horse disease has been reported. The affected horses should be completely isolated to ensure that healthy horses are not affected with the disease. The other horses that are in contact should be quarantined and watched carefully. Proper vaccination should be maintained.

Many a times, people must have wondered at how energetic these horses are, and how healthy they must be. However, horses are not completely safe from diseases, and are in fact prone to many health problems. They need to be taken care of in the proper manner, to ensure that they remain in excellent health. Apart from the diseases that the horses are often affected with, there are many horse infections too that may create health hazards for them.

The results of these infections may either be mild ones or can even be of a very serious nature. It is up to the horse owners to try and detect horse infections in their horses when there is enough time. Often it is noticed that people are late with their detection of <a href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=115266&u=154694&m=16435&urllink=&afftrack="">infections in horses, and the poor animals have to suffer a lot of pain before they are finally relieved from the infections.

It has also been noticed that horses tend to develop wounds on their body. These wounds are a result of the tough training that is sometimes given to horses, or the ones that they developed after having an accident. If these wounds are not dressed up within time, horse infections may result due to the attacks of <a href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=89993&u=154694&m=5858&urllink=&afftrack="">bacteria on the wounds. As soon a wound is noticed on the body of a horse it should be dressed properly after treating it with antibiotic ensures. Doing this would ensure that the horse do not suffer from some sort of horse infections.

However by vaccinating the horses against some of the well known horse infections would ensure that the horses are completely safe of being affected by any serious infection.

These symptoms may often not be too pronounced, however if the horses are regularly checked it is possible to even detect the minor symptoms. Once any symptom is noticed the horse should be taken for a checkup by a veterinarian, to find the possible horse infections that may be affecting it.

Some of these diseases tend to be confined within a particular geographical area, while many others are found to be affecting horses all over the world. It is not possible to find information on all the diseases, and hence horse owners need to take their horses to veterinarians, to find out the <a href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=115266&u=154694&m=16435&urllink=&afftrack="">nature of the disease that may be affecting their horse. The Monday morning illness is a very common horse illness that is found to affect innumerable horses throughout the world.

This horse illness was initially among those horses that were used for helping people in their work, like carrying loads for them or helping them in drawing a carriage. The horses that were seen to be affected with the illness, usually used to work throughout the week from Monday to Saturday. They were allowed a full day of rest on Sunday, on which day they need to have to do any work. It was noticed that when these horses were taken out to work on Monday, they showed a reluctance to move and also suffered from some <a href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=123749&u=154694&m=17428&urllink=&afftrack="">symptoms. As this effect was seen in horses on Monday morning, the horse illness came to be called as Monday morning illness.

There are several symptoms that are shown by the horses that are suffering from this particular horse illness. The usual symptoms include development of cramps on the body and stiffness of different muscles. Other symptoms included an irregular breathing pattern and too much sweating. The most marked symptom of this <a href="http://www.equinewellnessmagazine.com/wp/idevaffiliate.php?id=2386_1_3_1"">horse illness is that the horses tend to show a general unwillingness to move from their places.

Monday morning illness is found to affect horses in three different forms: sporadic, chronic and recurrent. The sporadic form of this horse illness is noticed in those horses, which had been working without any problem till some time back. The chronic form is seen in those horses, which have been showing the symptoms of the disease for quite some time. Thoroughbred horses and those originating from Arabia are noticed to be mostly suffering from the recurrent variety of the horse illness.

The treatment for different forms of the horse illness is noticed to be quite different. However the best possible way to counteract the Monday morning illness is to make some changes on the diet of the horses. Grass hay and rice bran have been found to be quite effective in treating the illness. Also it is suggested that foods with high fat levels should be avoided, and the horses should be provided with some exercise on a daily basis.

These problems are found to affect various parts of the body of the horses, and horse eyes are also found to have their own share of health problems. In order to ensure healthy horses, apart from paying attention to the health of their legs, hooves and joints, it is also very important to pay attention to horse eye health.

There are various injuries and infection that are found to affect the eyes of horses. It is often seen that several eye injuries and infections can have very serious effects on horse eye health. When horses are affected by infections in their eyes, they are found to suffer from eye irritations. There are several symptoms that are seen to be prevalent in horses with eye irritations. Constant shedding of tears, partly closed eyelids, purulent release of pus, redness of the eyes, swollen eyelids, and obscurity in the cornea are some of the common symptoms. Horse owners should seek immediate help from veterinarian doctors when noticing such symptoms to ensure excellent horse eye health in their horses.

Eyes being one of the most sensitive parts of the body should be carefully treated. In order to ensure excellent eye health in horses, it is very essential to take proper care and prevented them from developing eye infections. By regularly checking the eyes of the horses, while cleaning them, it is possible to notice whether the horses have any particles in their eyes. If any particles are found to be present, they should be removed immediately from the eyes using a soft cloth.
